The line between telling the truth and causing hurt can sometimes be fine. It is not always easy to get it right, but ultimately truth should win, because if you always have to tread on eggshells for fear of offending someone, you have imprisoned yourself. The two pillars which best hold up any relationship are truth, and what it builds: trust.
